Pierre Lapointe – Co Founder & President
Pierre co-founded Granite after a distinguished 37-year career at Jarislowsky Fraser, one of Canada’s leading investment management firms, where he worked closely with founder Stephen Jarislowsky. He held key roles, including Executive Vice President, Head of Private Wealth, and later President, guiding the firm until its acquisition in 2018. He continued as Vice Chairman of the board until 2022.
An expert in managing pension funds and ultra-high-net-worth portfolios, Pierre is known for earning deep client trust.
He holds an M.A. from Aberdeen University, an MBA from Ivey Business School, and the ICD.D designation. He serves on the board of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.

Lindsay Hollinger – Co Founder & VP
Prior to cofounding Granite, Lindsay was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Jarislowsky Fraser Limited, where she advised individuals, families, foundations, and endowments in the Private Wealth division beginning in 2014.
Before transitioning to wealth management, Lindsay practiced tax law at McCarthy Tétrault LLP for five years. She remains an active member of the Québec Bar Association.
Since 2022, Lindsay has served as a lecturer at McGill University’s Desautels Faculty of Management. She regularly speaks on topics such as financial literacy, investing, and strategic philanthropy to a wide range of audiences, including corporate teams, non-profit organizations, and university faculties.
Lindsay is deeply involved in the Montreal community. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, contributing to both the Investment Committee and the Strategic Planning Committee. Since 2014, she has also been a board member of the Jewish Community Foundation.
Lindsay holds a B.A. (Honours) in Philosophy from Queen’s University, and earned her BCL/LLB with distinction from McGill University. She later completed a LL.M. in Taxation at HEC Montréal and is a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM).

Erin O’Brien – Chief Compliance Officer
Erin O’Brien is a senior investment and finance professional with over 30 years’ experience at Jarislowsky Fraser, where she was a Senior Partner, CFO, Chief Compliance Officer, and Head of Operations. She managed portfolios for individuals, families and foundations as well as playing a key role in the firm’s growth, governance, compliance, and risk management before retiring in 2020.
Erin has extensive board and committee experience with both private and public organizations, including the MUHC Foundation, the Azrieli Foundation, Nature Conservancy of Canada, McCord Museum Foundation, and MRRM Inc. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Wellesley College, the CFA designation, and the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Matthew Epp – Chief Investment Officer
Matthew has nearly 20 years of experience in portfolio management, investment due diligence, and alternative investments. As Vice-President, Investments at a Single Family Office for 12 years, he led investment policy development, strategy implementation, and reporting. His expertise lies in conducting due diligence and optimizing investment opportunities through in-depth research and analysis.
Matthew earned his Bachelor of Commerce in Finance, from Concordia University, and holds the CFA designation.

Stella Moscardi – Administrative Director
Stella oversees day-to-day client and firm operations. With 27 years in the investment industry, she built her expertise at Montreal Trust and spent over two decades at Jarislowsky Fraser, working across Trading, Corporate Actions, Dividends, and Client Services.
Recognized for her dedication to client relationships, she received Scotiabank’s 2023 Culture Catalyst Award. Stella holds a Diplôme d’Étude Professionnelle in Accounting from the Business Administration Center.

Jesse Etinson – Systems & Investment Analyst
Jesse is a sharp, forward-thinking finance professional who seamlessly integrates financial expertise with cutting-edge technology. With a deep understanding of data, automation, and process optimization, he enhances efficiency and decision-making at Granite. Before joining the firm, he gained experience in financial planning and analysis at Syntax, refining his ability to bridge complex financial strategy with technological innovation.
Currently pursuing a Professional Certification in Data Science and Machine Learning, Jesse continues to expand his expertise in Python, SQL, and data visualization—further solidifying his role as a key driver of innovation. With a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from McGill, he brings a rare combination of analytical rigor, technical proficiency, and a relentless drive for improvement, making him an invaluable asset to Granite.

Alex Rutenberg – Associate
Alex graduated from Queen’s University with an Honours degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE), specializing in economics, along with a Certificate in Business. With a strong foundation in financial markets and strategic thinking, he brings a dynamic approach to investment execution and client engagement.
At Granite, Alex plays a key role in trading operations, ensuring seamless execution while maintaining a strong client-first mindset. His ability to build lasting relationships makes him a crucial part of the team. Dedicated to delivering thoughtful, tailored solutions, Alex helps clients navigate the complexities of wealth management with confidence.

Carly Choueke – Intern
Carly joined Granite as an intern in the summer of 2024. She is an undergrad student at McGill University, majoring in Finance with a concentration in Entrepreneurship at the Desautels Faculty of Management.
Apart from her studies, Carly is an active member of a business consulting club that collaborates with startups in Israel, where she contributes to consulting projects and provides strategic advice. She is also deeply involved in her community, volunteering her time to organize and fundraise for charity events.
